TIPS TO AN EASY WAY OF LEARNING
SPANISH
(Pick up the language with helpful
live drawings and amusing cartoons).
Since you are a "child" in the
language, it's important to have lots of visual exposure to new words.
Practice the following methods
& techniques for a successful memorization of words.
Use the command words! Combine
them with names of things you'd like to know.
Use real objects or pictures
of items.
Interview Spanish speakers!
List items by topics like food, clothes, sports, occupations
etc … Ask which ones they like or dislike ( … le gusta a
Ud … ¿no te gusta? …)
Collect Spanish children's books,
comics, and schoolbooks. While reading, point to each picture and
name it in español. Do it with a kid or a friend.
Make an audiotape. Ask native
Spanish speakers to read aloud a list of words that you need
to know. Tape different sounds
and pronunciations. Offer to make an English tape in return.
Draw pictures of items in
special categories and label them. The "un-artistic" can cut out pictures
from magazines.
The most natural way to acquire
action words is by having someone command you "to do something".
On the other hand with these "visuals" you can begin to "talk" about what's
going on.
Get friends involved. (Use
affirmative, negative and question forms).
These activities work better when
a native Spanish speaker assists you.
THE SECRETS OF SUCCESS
Get the habit of using
Spanish regularly.
Constantly memorize vocabulary
through "word - picture" association.
Follow the practice tips
and activities above mentioned.
You don't have to speak
until you feel like it.
But you can't make any excuses
for not learning.
Add your own ideas on how
to practice and improve!
Por favor! Go for it and
have fun! …
