There is an obvious lack of medical education here in Puerto Vallarta, and our member, Pamela Thompson, because of her multi-faceted position with the medical profession here, has put together the program outlined below for the benefit of any member (and friends) who are interested. Besides her work with the Blood Bank, she is the Administrator for Global Air and Ground Ambulance Service, and is Patient Service Coordinator for Clinica Intermedica (located in Versalles)--which include Primary Care Physicians, General Surgery, (laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, colonoscopy) plastic surgery, cardiology, internal medicine, GYN-OB, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery. (This group is also partners with Diagnostic Integral Vallarta [which has the most modern and up-to-date imaging equipment] and Laboratorio de Patologica Clinica Vallarta.) She has permission to offer a 20% discount to any IFC member for services offered at these clinics (Email her and she will provide the discount card).

CLASS & FLU CLINIC HELD AT IFC CLUBHOUSE
1. FIRST AID CLASSES (CPR, etc.): Nov. 6, 13, 20 - Saturdays startup. A concise 6-hour course; 1 day covering the basics of first aid, including CPR, presented in an easy-to-understand and interesting manner by licensed paramedics and nurses. Class minimum of 5 maximum of 15. Cost: $200 pesos per person. 50% deposit for reservation; balance due at first class.
2. FLU VACCINATION CLINIC: Mon., Nov.29 & Mon. Dec. 6, 12-7 pm. Cost to be announced. (The more that sign up the lesser the cost.) Be sure to receive your flu vaccine for the winter.

(February 26, Sat.) S U R P R I S E! Yes, we'll do the "MINI BAZAAR" again, and, of course, we'll need you all to help. Consider this our "early-bird" request--for those who have not yet returned, perhaps you have some extra little items that would fit in your luggage (perhaps some jewels?, etc.) that would add interest for the purchasers.
