It's always interesting to talk to those just stepping on board; such interesting stories they do tell.  In our last issue we unfortunately did not include the cities of these new members and want to correct that now--who knows, they might just be neighbors.  Here they are again:

Renewal time is approaching, and we will start issuing new membership cards at the November 9 meeting.  Please use the Spanish name of the IFC on any checks you write--Club Internacional de la Amistad (yes, also on any US or Canadian checks--including an extra $5 US for the check, which is charged by the bank here).  Membership for singles $330; couples $550.  We'll also be asking you to again complete an application form (to update any new information or telephone or email changes; if all the same, just include your name and write "SAME").

YOU ALSO NEED TO DECIDE IF YOU'RE GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 'FIRST AID CLASS' SESSIONS.  THREE OF THEM IN NOVEMBER--6-13-20 (Saturdays--from 10 AM TO 5 pm.)  Limited to 15 per class--$200 pesos per person.  Sign up now!

FLU SHOTS are important to many of you.  Please contact us if you want to make a reservation for one.

Many of you have ideas for Club activities and charity work here.  We can't achieve all we want to do if you keep your valuable experiences to yourselves.  Do share them with us.  The IFC Board meets monthly (or more often as needed) and welcomes visitors.  If you'd like to make a presentation to the Board, please call the Clubhouse (222-5466) and ask to be put on our agenda.

ART LECTURES:  We are very fortunate in having a member talented and knowledgeable in the art world.  Ruth Miller has graciously consented to do a lecture for the club.  This will be a major event for lovers of art and will be made available to members and guests.  She's titled it "THE WORLD OF ART--THE PASSION, THE BEAUTY, THE HISTORY".  We'll have more to tell you in our next issue; including the date--either in January or early February.  Stand by...

A few thoughts for the month:  (For all PC owners:  Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?

November is the startup for our medical activities calendar.    For those who wish to take advantage of our First Aid Classes and Flu Vaccine Clinic, you must contact us for reservations.  (You can also call the clubhouse at 222-5466 or Yvonne Ward at 228-0050.

1.  FIRST AID CLASSES:  Saturdays--Nov. 6, 13, 20.  (Time:  10 AM-4/5 PM)  ($200 pesos per person)  RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.  (Minimum of 5 per class; maximum 15.)  5-6 hours.  Bring a bag lunch. 

2.  FLU VACCINATION CLINIC:  Mondays--Nov. 29 and Dec. 6.  (Time:  12-7 PM) $300 pesos per person)
