The last two months have been extremely busy  and gratifying.. Have visited many schools  from Bucerias and Ixtapa  to Boca and Mismaloya... and everywhere imagineable in between....All of the school directors and teachers have been very hospitable and informative....and  were asked to show me  the different areas that help was needed....and so they did...

Also, have met with the new mayor, Gustavo and the new director of Education for the city, Lidia to arrange a cooperative financial participation and to visit schools that are in need together....

Without writing so much as to bore you....  the results so far....Sun roof over a school yard in Bucerias for tots, windows and concrete play area in El Provenor, a floor and counter top at a handicapped children's day school in Pitillal, a library in Ixtapa at El Canton, and a lunch room and kitchen in Pedregal.

More to come...like toilets, plumbing, electric, school supplies, paint and roofs, gutters and downspouts....etc. and etc...Waiting for bids on more schools at this writing.......

We are planning on a bus tour of  some of the schools  that we have done  work on and also some that we will be doing work on in the future....If you have any interest in joining us, please call the IFC  office... 222-5466 and advise Valeska.... The date is not yet set...nor the price....  we need an indication of interest first...

And finally, a big thanks to Arnon and Ruth Miller who have  given a large donation to the IFC to  be used by the Education committee....to increase  our  ability to help more schools.. Thank you DEAR  FRIENDS....

What an interesting and different opportunity visitors to Puerto Vallarta find when they sign up to view some of the beautiful residences that are made available each Wednesday and Thursday,  November through April. However it is not only the homes that capture attention, co-starring are the hard working volunteers who bring their own enthusiasm and knowledge to make these tours events that our guests continue to return, season after season. Each of our wonderful docents readily shares inside tips about things to do and places to go. However, most importantly the work of the International Friendship Club and its’ many programs benefiting local people are clearly presented and interpreted by those who shepherd the thousands of people who take advantage of this opportunity.
