TREASURERS REPORT
As of February 23, 2004 our accounts show as follows:
Fiscal year to date shows Total Net Income of $770,145. We now have historical data from the previous year. Our cookbook sales are very near that of last year at this time, however our Donations received are up $34,545: Home Tour Net Deposits are up $133,733; and Membership Dues are up $18,194. Overall our net income is up $15,550, over the same period last year. We do not have the Bazaar income normally reflected at this same time last year. Overall, our administration costs are down $9,678 under last year. By changing accountants, we have saved to date $20,496 on fees. In accordance with our budget, we have paid out increases to date over last year in Community Aid of $33,055; Education $69,707: and Medical of $41,322. Our new computer is up and running and should ensure reliable service and protection of our important data. Valeska is catching up and getting more efficient. I am now preparing the budget for 2004-2005 and will be presenting a preliminary version at the March 9, General Meeting. You will at that time have the opportunity to make suggestions or proposals in budget matters. Again, I must note the wonderful work being done by Home Tours, whose operation is outstanding and sales are very impressive. Our front office is busier than ever and so the volunteers who come out regularly to help Valeska at the front desk are much appreciated. Thanks also to Kirsten Reinking who has undertaken the monthly responsibility to produce this newsletter as well as posting the newsletter to our web site. Special thanks goes out to the many unsung workers who do the things necessary to making the IFC such a worthwhile organization who truly makes a difference to the lives of many people in need in Puerto Vallarta. |
