(continued from pg. 3) Please join us at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 at the International Friendship Club for a lively exchange of ideas on navigating the “wonder years” (I wonder why magazines don’t have bigger print? I wonder why they make packaging so hard to open? I wonder if it’s too early to go home? I wonder how much longer I can hold my stomach in?), Norma Schuh holds an MA in Human Development and is a part-time resident of Puerto Vallarta. In addition to speaking, writing and life coaching, she facilitates women’s discussion groups (Celebration Circles©) at different venues in town every Tuesday from 1:00 pm. to 3:30 p.m around a variety of topics that run the gamut from memoirs, mortality and spirituality to gratitude, humor, and friendship. For information regarding Circle location, cost and registration, call 221-5354.

There were some who signed up but were unable to attend after all; others came unexpected and were not included on the original workers' list. If you are one who worked and are not included here, please contact me and we will make the correction in the next issue. We also want to thank again all of the donors who contributed goods to this event, and again especially thank Carolyn Chambers for her vast and generous donation from the "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze" film set. This year's Bazaar will be long remembered as a truly worthy accomplishment.

OUR HOPES WERE REALIZED, PEOPLE! THIS WAS THE MOST PRODUCTIVE BAZAAR IN THE HISTORY OF THE IFC!
All of you workers are to be commended for bringing this to such a historical success. I especially have to thank my long-suffering husband and your Club President, Al Ward, for his months of work and his brawn enabling him to pick up and deliver all and sundry heavy items to the bodega for storage until the Bazaar. (He didn't have to join an athletic club for exercise.) But, you all were the ones that make it work when the time is upon us. This is to say thanks again for your patience and efforts in getting the goods assembled and sold. And here you all are: APPLIANCES: John Hamlin, Coordinator, John Lockington, George Fulton, Dale McGhee, Andy Beardette, Bob Lilley and Tony Fabrian. BOOKS: Dick Beck, Coordinator, Wayne and Judy Laranjo, Charlie Head, Jim Alderdice and Fred Forbes. BOUTIQUE: ART: Gila Badner, Coordinator, Donna Readerman, Nancy Anderson, and Nancy Dame. GIFTWARE: Pat Bendix, Coordinator, Edith Savastino, Murry and Milly Beer, Richard Bendex, and Mel Bornstein. CLOTHING: Sandy Baker, Anne Barnhill, Elly Schoustal, and Mandy Delaney. |
