The Ladies Luncheon in January was most successful with twenty-two ladies dining at Le Bistro. Food was excellent and surroundings lovely. An amusing surprise was the VIVA jewelry shown by beautiful models. A BIG THANK YOU to Cilly Kaminoff for making the arrangements.

There were many events in February, which were enjoyable. Potluck and Fashion show had a good turnout, with successful modeling of Sucesos clothes. It was a pleasure, Hector and Andrea, to show your clothes. Thank yous go to Gila Badner, Antonia Driver, Barbara Fein, Jean Becker and Jenny Pray with another big thank you to Jenny for arranging the show and to Ruth Miller for helping out behind the scenes. Thank yous naturally to the SOHO Committee who worked very hard and Board Members who were supportive with their help.

March has a very full program with something to suit all tastes. It is hoped that the talks will attract visitors and possibly bring us new members.

Be sure to catch the theatrical performance of “The V Monologues,” presented by the Theater of the Rockies from Denver Colorado and directed by member Tencha Avila. This is a play about love, respect for ourselves and others,

empowerment and protection. The cast members have strong credits among them, including The Best Actor of the Year in Denver Colorado. Performance dates are scheduled for March 18, 20, 21 and 23 and the proceeds will be donated to our Cleft Palate Program.

The Xuitla Dancers, are Puerto Vallarta’s award winning folkloric dance group. They have been performing in Vallarta and throughout Mexico for approximately 7 years now. They are organized and trained by Professor Enrique Barrio Limón from the Departamento Cultura H. Ayuntamiento. This will be a wonderful show at the IFC clubhouse on March 26th at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner.

It is wondered how many members will be here in April and advice would be appreciated as to whether any events, other than the General Meeting, should be held.

It is pleasing to report that Valeska Guerrero has agreed to take on the position of Vice Chairperson. She plans to live in Puerto Vallarta for most of the year and will be in touch with the Chairperson by email, to keep continuity.
