The New Year is upon us.  May it bring to fruition our hopes and prayers for a peaceful universe, and the energy to achieve our goals for 2003.  Let's keep a positive attitude in all that we've set forth to accomplish this year.  Together as an IFC team, we can achieve what we've mapped out to do.

Our charitable activities, however, require willing participants.  There are those activities that require the sober hands-on relationship with the local community--less glamorous than some other functions.  But, that is where we contribute our hard-earned donations to the welfare of  those in dire need here. It's time to take a look at ourselves and say, "How might I be of some help?".  The projects we involve ourselves in are not the kind that need a daily routine, and those already experienced will guide you along the way.  (Get to see the love and gratitude of those who benefit from our aid.  That's the only reward you might get, but what a wonderful gift it will be.)  Step forward, and really become one of us, it won't hurt one bit.

My absence at the December meeting was due to my working at the World Cup Golf Tournament in the capacity of room attendant at the two locker rooms for the visiting professional golfers--from 7 am-7 pm daily (Monday 12/9-Sunday 12/15) in the name of the IFC.  Many other of our members also participated in a volunteer capacity during the tournament.  Various charities will receive some funds for their services and we hope that our portion will be a generous one.

NOW HERE THIS!  These positions are awaiting  your dedication to the smooth-running of our important community organization:  Clubhouse Facilities (not difficult); Community Services (when needed); Cookbooks (not difficult--lots of help); Education Committee (under the guidance of Jimmy Ellis); Social/Hospitality (the fun group).  Be there for us when we call, you'll enjoy the challenge.

COPPER CANYON TOUR:  We will aim for this tour for the month of March, probably the latter part.  Start signing up for the tour now.  (This will not commit you at the moment, but will give us a guideline for the number that might participate.  It is necessary to plan ahead and consider dates and necessary details and, of course, the cost.  As soon as we have this information we'll pass it along.  (This should be an exciting adventure.) Call the clubhouse, etc.--see below,)

Also, the MONARCH BUTTERFLIES:  Call the clubhouse--indicate your interest in this tour also.

CLUBHOUSE TEL:  222-5466 or Email:  ifcpv@prodigy.net.mx or my telephone or email, fax above.)

Ours is a grand organization made up of fine people.  We thank you all for being part of what we do, and for the friendship, which is our banner.
