Sunday February 25, 9:00 am - 2 pm
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE US? The time is approaching… Setup at the site is Saturday, Feb 24; sale is Sunday, Feb 25. We need help in every way to make this a success and are calling on you to take the reins as you did last year. On Friday night (Feb 23) we also need assistance (and a few vans or pickup trucks) to take supplies from the Clubhouse to the school. Please contact me 22-80050 and tell me you’ll work in the same capacity as last year or if you prefer another job.
CALL ME, TOO, IF YOU HAVE ANY GOODS TO DONATE - if large items, arrangements can be made for pickup. You can also deliver items to Villas Loma Linda, call Al or Dick at 223-2591 for directions.
BAKERY BOOTH: You bakers out there - we need your wares again this year. If you don’t bake, perhaps a visit to your nearby bakery will generate something to whet the appetite. Items should be delivered to the schoolyard Sunday between 8 and 8:45 am.
PLANT BOOTH: Rhoda Rossmore (Tel. 221-5179) will have her plant booth set up in the same location this year. If you have ANY PLANTS TO DONATE, PLEASE GIVE HER A CALL.
Keep looking for useable items - we can take anything that can’t walk away.
Fliers to advertise this event are available through me or the clubhouse. Please take a supply and post them in your condo/apt. building and in any restaurant or store you frequent (take tape with you).
Let’s get this job done - it’s work, but oh so much fun to see the happy faces of our primary customers - the residents of Puerto Vallarta.
Many thanks to all of you

MEMBERSHIP Yvonne Ward Tel. 228-0050/Fax 228-0458 Email: Yvonneal@pvnet.com.mx
WHAT’S HAPPENING? COME ONE, COME ALL - join us - be an active participant in what we do - pick a cause or promote a new idea and let’s see how far we can go with it. Got a “social activity” in mind? Let’s hear about it. Let’s do it! Don’t be concerned that you’ll be alone - we’re here for you and with you and together will get the job done. Call President Gale Hankel (225-1177) or me, or better, why not attend a Board meeting on the second Monday of the month a 10 am at the clubhouse. Members are always welcome - do come and see the Board in operation.
Who of you out there has not paid Membership Renewal dues? Perhaps you’ve been away during one of our monthly general meetings or sidetracked or might only visit Puerto Vallarta occasionally. We appeal to you again - PLEASE RENEW either a) through a friend who will be attending the monthly meeting February 13 (if you can’t be present) b) by mail - IFC, Apdo. 604, Puerto Vallarta, Jal., 48300 c) or visit the clubhouse between 10am-2pm and Annie will be pleased to take your renewal and give you a new membership card.
Please pass the word around, Members - become an active recruiter - tell your family, friends and acquaintances about what we do. Members can be either active or passive. One doesn’t have to live here or even return annually to become a participating and compassionate member. Dues go into our “pool” for charitable efforts; any contributions can be designated for a specific program. Our goal continues to be to improve our service to the community in areas where help is most needed. Please don’t abandon us because you might not be a hands-on active member. We need your membership support whether far or near.
CALLING ALL “DANCERS” or wanna-be’s… join the fun of our line-dancing group headed by instructor Roger Neff at the clubhouse each Thursday from 2-3 pm. It’s great aerobic exercise and generates a lot of laughs. (If you know your left foot from your right you’ll do fine). See you there?
ANOTHER LADIES LUNCHEON is being planned for Tuesday, March 6 at Porto Bello Restaurant in the Marina, and will be hosted by Jane Goraieb (Tel. 221-0175). The menu will be pre-set as usual. Time 12:30 pm. If you make reservations and then can’t attend, you must advise Jane at least 3 days in advance or you will be required to pay for the lunch regardless. Join in the camaraderie, a good time is always had by all. |
