BAZAAR 2000
The time has arrived to give special tribute
to one of the consistently hardworking and devoted members of the team
that coordinates our annual Bazaar namely, - “Silent Auctioneer”
MARISE ROLNICK.
For the past several years she has contributed
hours of time and never ending energy to help steer and coordinate with
Marcy Kengott, the collection of items for the Bazaar Boutique. However,
for the 1999 and 2000 Bazaar she created the new Auction department, and
through her growing rapport with businesses in the city collected items
that generated a substantial revenue to the success of this and last years
events.
Thank you again, Marise; we hope you
will continue to bring your expertise and generosity of time and ideas
to the benefit of the Club’s charities.
BAZAAR 2001
Yes, we’re on deck for another exciting
cruise into the land of collecting anything and everything for this February
function. WHAT DO YOU HAVE AT HOME NOW THAT YOU CAN TOSS IN THAT
SUITCASE (or car, if driving down) that could find it’s stall at the Bazaar?
Small items like jewelry, shoes, clothes, etc. Be creative, squeeze
something into that bag!
Let us hear from you! We have lots
of room for storage for big things too.

CALLING ALL MEMBERS!
Yes, we back at the starting gate and anticipating
the opening of another rewarding season here at The Club, and the return
of all of you.
Our expectations are high for a burgeoning
tourist season and an increase of revenues for our charities through our
revenue producing functions such as the Club’s home tours, cook book sales,
the Bazaar and whatever other ideas develop through the ingenuity of you
all. You are The Club, you are the participants that make things
work. Those of you with experience with home-town charitable groups
might be willing to share knowledge with us and adapt fund-raising successes
to our needs here. Think positive thoughts and donate your promotion
ideas and skills—we need you hands-on contributions.
AND, OF COURSE… don’t forget our on-going
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE—we are a friendship group, and who of us are not always
on the lookout for new and compatible individuals to join the fold.
Alert that friend or acquaintance who is planning a visit (and who just
might also decide to rent or purchase a condo or home or time-share) to
include on their Puerto Vallarta sojourn a visit to our Club House, and
a meeting, if possible. Perhaps you have a copy of the membership
application handy, see last page of newsletter. Be aware, too, that
membership renewals will resume in November for the year 2001.
Since we did not publish in May, you were
not alerted to the joining of these new members. Are any of them your neighbors?
WE SAY WELCOME!
Bowen, Nancy Chula Vista, CA
Harper, Allan & Judy Springfield, IL
Miller, James & E Golden, CA
And those who joined over the summer months -
Goddard, Bill & FrankieWheat Ridge, CO
Muse, W. Brad McHenry, IL
Sullivan, Don & Phyllis Wakefield, MA
Vanderryst, Andre & V. Garland, TX
Before closing, here’s something else to
think about…
“Real friends are those who, when you’ve made
a fool of yourself, don’t think you’ve done
a permanent job.”
HASTA QUE NOS VEAMOS
until we meet again... |
