The Club is up and going strong, thanks to all of the
good volunteers that we have, but do not think that we cannot find a place
for you. We need to have volunteers to help put out our newsletter,
as well as someone to take charge of our cookbooks. Robin Fell has
agreed to assume responsibility as Social Director. Welcome on board
Robin.
Tom Wichie and I went out to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle this
past Dec 9th to see the desks in place at the school and to take pictures
to send to the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Monroe, to thank them and
the captain again for all their help.
Please do not be shy in talking to any of us to volunteer.
This is how we all get to know each other to make this—the International
Friendship Club.
This is also an appropriate place to express our appreciation
and thanks to the Club de Clubs for their continued assistance in assuring
that materials donated in the States for use in Vallarta are transported
from the States and are cleared through customs. In particular, we
thank Warren Johnson and Maria Banos. |
Other Donations
Irma Willis
IFC member, Susan Seidner of Surfside, CA, (above)
brought 40 plus boxes of clothing and shoes on her boat for the poor of
Vallarta. Mayra Fumerton, Chairman Community Services (below) has
gratefully received Sue’s donations and has begun distributing to
the most needy families, many of whom live and work in the vicinity of
the city dump and have long been identified as IFC beneficiaries.
